School calendars

For Francophonie month, come and share a French text you've written or that you particularly like, at a slam joust hosted by Quebec artist D-Track!

The event is organized by ÉSC La Vérendrye and the Club culturel francophone de Thunder Bay. During the day, students from ESC La Vérendrye and some students from Lakehead University will have the chance to create their own slam pieces with D-Track.

In the evening, we invite any young people who wish to do so to share their text with the community.
You too can get up on stage and share a text you've written or by your favorite author.

There will be 3 categories of participants: high school students, university students, and adults (community).

From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., share a multicultural pot luck, a feast for taste buds and spirits open to all the flavors of the world!

 From 6 to 7:30 p.m., it's time for the slam joust! Let yourself be transported by verse and rhyme, hosted by D-Track himself. To your texts! Exciting prizes await our brave slammers! (registration recommended to facilitate organization via the google form)

And to round things off on a high note, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., the dance floor will be set ablaze with French-language rhythms!

Feel like sharing your words? Everyone is invited to take part in the slam joust, whether with an original creation or a cover of a beloved author!
