Through a series of authentic and inclusive before- and after-school activities, we aim to improve the social, communication, self-regulation and life-planning skills that contribute to the educational success of students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and students with pragmatic difficulties.

 

The Council is looking for facilitators in identified communities who, under the supervision of the program coordinator, will help develop, implement and monitor the before- or after-school or lunch-break social skills and abilities development program, according to a set schedule.

 

The start date is planned as soon as the position is filled, until the end of June 2025, at 7 hours a week.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in a related field
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English
  • A valid driver's license
  • Good knowledge of ASD and PDD issues
  • Advanced computer skills (word processing, hardware development)
  • First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation course

ATOUT

  • Three-year college diploma in special education techniques or equivalent
  • Certificat d'intervenant(e) en autisme de niveau 1 (Geneva Center)

 

Under Regulation 322/03, every person employed by a school board is required to provide a criminal history record issued within the last six months prior to employment.

 

Hourly rate of 34.00 $.
