Description (learning methods, topics covered) :
Morning - The future of pedagogy: Learning to learn through the prism of problem solving In the spirit of the collabo-reflexive classroom, this workshop explores the importance of critical thinking and analytical reasoning, essential in all subjects of the 7th grade.e at 12e year. We'll explore the creation of a learning space where student reflection is paramount, as opposed to more mechanical learning. We'll venture into the art of posing rich problems that reinforce the assessment of skills we value in our students.
Afternoon - Workshops :
Workshop 1 - PAL, a team affair! To review the dual mandate of the French-language school, teachers will discuss their role as cultural ambassadors and their successful techniques for maintaining a shared vision of the Francophonie in the school. In this workshop, teachers will explore the Politique d'aménagement politique (PAL), discuss their personal vision and exchange ideas to build a shared vision of the role of the student, staff and management team.
Workshop 2 - Improving the written communication skills of students in grades 9 to 12 in all subjects.
With a view to showing students what questions they should be asking themselves in order to enrich their written production, this workshop will define a continuum of sentence quality (basic sentence, enriched sentence, use of the course's technical vocabulary). We'll also work on adapting communication criteria to the subject being taught.
Workshop 3 - Co-construction of criteria and evaluation grid By co-constructing with students, teachers not only invite learners to take an active part in their learning, but also to engage in a collective pedagogical dialogue.
