Temporary full-time assignment (1.00), to replace a leave of absence. The person hired will fill these two (2) positions.

 

The person in this position reports to the school principal and performs all secretarial duties associated with such a position. Primary responsibilities include:

 

  • secretarial services: receiving and directing telephone calls, relaying messages, forwarding, opening and distributing mail, word processing, making appointments, filing and copying material, greeting and directing visitors
  • preparation of reports, lists, tables and statistics using various software programs, and preparation of documentation for these documents
  • handling inquiries from students, staff, parents and the public
  • data entry and manipulation from computerized systems
  • compilation of expenditures and reconciliation of the school budget and petty cash

Job Requirements
  • Two year college diploma in secretarial, office or administrative technology or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • more than two years experience in secretarial or related field
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software
  • knowledge of ASPEN and SAGE software would be an asset
  • fluency in French and English, both spoken and written

 

Under Regulation 322/03, every person employed by a school board is required to provide a criminal history record, issued within the last six months before taking office.

 

Remuneration in accordance with the current collective agreement for unionized personnel, at an hourly rate of 26.23 $.
