Permanent full-time assignment (1.00), in a 12-month non-unionized position.

 

In a context of interdisciplinary collaboration, the person in charge will support the implementation of wellness initiatives, including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), as well as the welcoming of new students and staff arriving in the region. Under the supervision of the Director of Wellness and Inclusion, the person in charge will be responsible for :

 

  • develop guides and documents to support the implementation of EDI organizational policies
  • participate in consultations during the revision or development of administrative policies and directives, applying an EDI perspective
  • design and run professional development sessions on EDI and well-being
  • support teachers in using wellness and EDI resources in the classroom
  • act as a cross-cultural mentor to support newcomers to Canada or the region, and offer support to school teams
  • design and run workshops and consultations on EDI issues with students
  • implementation of systemic wellness projects for students and teachers
  • participate in the review, planning and launch of surveys, analyze the data collected and participate in the implementation of a systemic plan to meet needs
  • participate in the revision and implementation of the Council's accessibility plan
  • represent the School Board at the community level in networks related to immigration and hospitality

 

Profile required

  • collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • advanced knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
  • have a valid driver's license and be prepared to travel frequently within the council's territory

 

Job Requirements
  • 1-year university diplomaer cycle in the field of social and community development, social sciences, psychology or other related fields and/or equivalent professional experience
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a school or community environment in EDI-related roles
  • 1 year's experience in designing and running professional development sessions or workshops

Remuneration in accordance with current non-union terms and conditions of employment, with an annual salary of between 56,368 $ and 70,463 $. Please note that this position is subject to future re-evaluation.
