Contents

Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the incumbent contributes to the development and achievement of objectives related to strategic communications, marketing and promotion of the Board and its schools, as well as those related to community involvement. He/she participates in the design and implementation of the Board's communications plan.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • facilitate links between the Board, schools, families and community organizations
  • coordinate student recruitment and retention campaigns (marketing strategy and promotion)
  • managing the Council's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube) and creating content
  • update Web and Intranet sites (collect and organize information)
  • support schools and departments in their projects and initiatives (events, staff recruitment, etc.)
  • collect and analyze data to prepare reports
  • ensure the Board's participation and presence (community table, kiosk, events, etc.)

 

Profile required
  • demonstrate tact, diplomacy and discernment
  • excellent command of spoken and written French and English
  • skills in writing and editing communications documents
  • be autonomous, dynamic, creative, innovative and organized
  • ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong computer skills (Microsoft Office O365, Adobe Suite, video editing, Web content management), photo shooting, Web and video content production
  • leadership, teamwork skills and service orientation

 

Job Requirements
  • post-secondary degree in communications and/or marketing, or in a field relevant to the job
  • at least two years' experience in marketing, communications or journalism
  • experience with social networks, writing and planning web content
  • experience with a school board, knowledge of French Ontario and French as a minority language an asset
  • hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel on the Board's territory

 

Under Regulation 322/03, every person employed by a school board must provide a criminal history record before taking office.

 

Remuneration in accordance with the conditions of employment for non-unionized staff in force, whose annual salary ranges from 57,486 $ to 70,466 $.
