This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the use of Copilot in conjunction with curriculum to optimize the creation of learning units and assessment tools. Learn how to take advantage of these innovative technologies to enrich your teaching while gaining in efficiency.
Optimize diagnostic assessment in mathematics and other subjects Teachers and support staff will have the opportunity to explore innovative tools for diagnostic assessment in mathematics. This hands-on workshop will introduce school staff to the Taking Action kit, the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and the Knowledgehook platform. Learn how to use these resources to accurately identify your students' needs, personalize your teaching and promote success in mathematics.
Differentiation through learning centers: from planning to implementation Teachers and support staff will have the opportunity to work out effective differentiated learning centers from their planning. This hands-on workshop will guide staff in creating learning centers adapted to the different levels and needs of your students, whatever their grade. Learn how to use your planning as a basis for designing varied and engaging activities, enabling successful differentiation within your classroom.
As part of National Francophone Immigration Week, ÉSC La Vérendrye invites Thunder Bay's francophone community to a gathering on Thursday, November 7, from 5 to 7 p.m.! On the program: a screening of "Assez French" followed by a pot luck.
For the pot luck, bring a dish to share, so that everyone can sample the flavors of each other. Bring the whole family, invite some friends and let's celebrate Francophone diversity!
The activity will take place in the school cafeteria.

A representative from Lakehead University will be at the school from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. A table will be set up in the hallway outside the guidance room, where the representative can answer questions from students and others.

The webinars will address some of the most common parenting issues and behaviours that families encounter. They offer brief support to parents who generally manage situations well, but have a concern or two about their child's behavior or development. They can also be a good introduction to positive parenting, encouraging parents to consider further, more in-depth Triple P interventions.
These webinars are aimed at parents or carers of children aged 2 to 12.
The series includes three webinars in English onlyEach session lasts 90 minutes, and parents are encouraged to attend all three.
