Francophonie is at the heart of our Council. Our goal is to offer our students the opportunity to live in French and to immerse themselves in the French culture so that they can build knowledge, relationships, and friendships that will lead them to become bilingual for life.

We're happy to contribute to your child's spiritual development, pride and sense of belonging to the French language and cultures. Through cultural activities such as improvisation, leadership camp, trades camp, robotics tournament, FESFO activities, shows, and more, your child will enjoy speaking and living in French every day, as well as having the opportunity to demonstrate leadership within his or her school, board and francophone community.

La croix de notre Conseil est un symbole riche, porteur d'une profondeur à la fois spirituelle et culturelle.Catholicism

Our Council's cross is a rich symbol with both spiritual and cultural depth. It embodies a set of visual and symbolic elements, reflecting an open, modern Catholicity, yet rooted in traditional values.

Openness and diversity

The absence of an outline around the cross underlines the idea of open-mindedness, an invitation to welcome and respect the diverse expressions of the Catholic faith, as lived by people of all origins and cultures. This inclusive approach illustrates the desire to bring together everyone's customs, traditions and histories, reinforcing the idea of diversity at the heart of unity.

Path symbol

The supple curves of the cross evoke a continuous spiritual journey, both personal and collective. They also represent the roads of our territory, bringing individuals together on their journey, through the crossroads of their lives. This crossroads becomes a point of union, where values and beliefs come together in a single faith.

The figure of Christ and modernity

The silhouette of Christ is subtly suggested, marking his symbolic presence. However, the flexibility of the lines also expresses the evolution of the Catholic faith, an adaptation to modernity in the way it is presented and lived. This is a faith that is flexible, not rigid, capable of opening up to new perspectives while maintaining its essence.

Colors: pain, hope, resurrection
The different colors used are of course those of our board, and reinforce the symbolism. The gradations of yellow recall the aspect of eternity, underlining the light of divine Love that never fades. Green represents hope, the virtue that drives believers forward in spite of trials. White evokes resurrection and spiritual renewal, the triumph of life over death.

Each person who enters the spiritual life brings his or her own color, experience and cultural and personal background. This diversity, shared with others, contributes to forming a harmonious whole, a community that mutually enriches itself through exchange and discovery.

Star of Bethlehem: a luminous guide

The star or small cross in the center is reminiscent of the one on the Council logo. It is also here, the star of Bethlehem, a symbol of divine guidance. It is the beacon of light that guides believers to the truth, to their own path of faith. The closer you get to the center, the brighter the colors become, a reminder that the heart of faith is a source of light and spiritual clarity.

Stability and support

The broader base of the cross reinforces the idea of stability and support. It symbolizes a solid foundation on which believers can rely in their journey. It's a reference to the community, to the foundation of faith that supports each individual in his or her spiritual quest, and to the solidity of the values on which this cross rests.

In this way, the cross embodies the idea of a faith that is both open and rooted, an encounter between tradition and modernity, and a rallying symbol for those who carry within them the diversity of cultures, experiences and spiritual paths.
