The staffing of competent and qualified personnel is essential to achieving our primary mandate of providing quality education for the success of all our students. We recruit teaching professionals to work in our schools at both the elementary and secondary levels. In addition, we have a number of other professions working in our school board, including student support workers, special education workers, teacher assistants, library technicians, school secretaries, custodians, office staff and administrative staff.

Throughout the school year, we have occasional substitute needs. We invite you to contact us or the principal of the school in your community to add your name to the supply list.

In compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005In the event of a disability, the Council will make the necessary accommodations during the selection process when informed by a successful candidate in the selection process. The Human Resources Department will then inform the candidate of the appropriate course of action.

Substitute

Are you interested in interacting with young people and having a good time with them? The CSDCAB is looking for responsible, positive, dynamic, patient, flexible people who enjoy working with children as a substitute teacher.

Register now!

For each school, we are looking for occasional substitutes to replace: teachers, support staff, lunchroom staff, janitors and school secretaries.

With occasional substitution, you replace the incumbent on an occasional basis. For example, a teacher may have left a lesson plan and a lesson to follow for the day he or she is absent. As a support person, you'll assist the teacher in the classroom, take care of lunch, and so on.

The Council offers a respectful and rewarding work environment with flexible hours to suit your availability. You don't need a bachelor's degree in education, either!

We invite you to contact the school in your community to add your name to the supply list.
