At their annual meeting on November 16, the Aurores boréales CSDC trustees re-elected Claudette Gleeson as Chair and Sylvie Payeur as Vice-Chair by acclamation.
Claudette Gleeson has represented the Thunder Bay region as a school trustee for 26 years and has held the position of President for the past three years. She was vice-president for twelve years.
"This is my third year as president, and I'm still learning a lot. I thank my colleagues for their confidence and look forward to continuing our efforts for the success of our students," said Councillor Gleeson.
Sylvie Payeur has represented the Longlac and Rural East region for 26 years. This is her third term as Vice-President after twelve years as President.
"I'm thrilled to continue supporting our president; it's a privilege to be part of this team. We're here for our children, the precious treasures entrusted to us by families; we have great things to accomplish," declared Sylvie Payeur following her re-election.
This 220e meeting of the Board table was also an opportunity to present the Annual report 2023-2024 presented by Mireille Major-Levesque, Education Department.
