From November 17 to 21, the Catholic District School Board of Aurores boréales is marking Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, a provincial initiative aimed at promoting caring, safe, and inclusive school environments.

Throughout this week, we invite students, families, staff members, and the school community to learn about the realities of bullying, including cyberbullying, and to reflect on its impact on student well-being and success. Schools are encouraged to hold awareness activities in schools that reflect our commitment to inclusion, respect for differences, and a sense of belonging.

The CSDCAB provides local and provincial resources, including anonymous reporting available at our website, to support students and families. Each school's specific anti-bullying plans, which have been revised and posted on school websites, demonstrate our commitment to taking concrete action to prevent bullying and respond effectively.

This week is also an opportunity to strengthen our practices in school climate, mental health, and equity, in line with our strategic plan and the results of school climate surveys.

Ending bullying is a shared responsibility. Together, let's take action to create learning environments where every student feels safe, respected, and valued.
