Given the school closing period and the uncertain situation afterwards, the MOE has cancelled EQAO assessments for the remainder of this school year. As a reminder, the EQAO assessments are:
Grade 3 test (reading, writing and math)
Grade 6 test (reading, writing and math)
Grade 9 Math Test
Provincial Language Proficiency Test administered at Grade 10 (OSSLT)
For students graduating in the 2019-2020 school year, the literacy requirement (OSSLT) for graduation will be waived. Note that our students are not affected since they have already completed this requirement. Students who are not expected to graduate this school year will have the opportunity to take the OSSLT in the 2020-2021 school year.
The CSDCAB continues to monitor this situation very closely and to work with the Ontario Ministry of Health and the health units in our region. We will communicate with our school communities as new information becomes available.
