Permanent full-time assignment (1.00).
Under the supervision of the school principal and in collaboration with the school team, the person will :
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the students' individualized program
- helping students with their academic progress, behaviour management and physical needs
- skills to provide support to students in need in three areas: academic support, behavior management, physical needs and life skills
- knowledge of school-age child development
- knowledge of positive reinforcement programs designed to maximize student success
- ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and maintain harmonious relationships
- advanced knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
- first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation course
- three-year college diploma in special education techniques or equivalent
- experience in a related field
Under Regulation 322/03, every person employed by a school board is required to provide a criminal history record issued within the last six months prior to employment.
The hourly rate is between 26.23 $ and 27.86 $ according to the salary scale of the current collective agreement. Priority will be given to members of the SEIU union unit.
