At the end of May, the Aurores boréales CSDC announced its partnership with Lac des Mille Lacs, a winning partnership that enriches the students' educational experience.

Next the announcement of the partnership at the end of MayRenovation work has begun to transform the offices into learning spaces, including classrooms, a universal bathroom and more.

On Tuesday, October 11, the Aurores boréales CSDC and École secondaire catholique de La Vérendrye officially welcomed the Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation and their Seventh Fire high school to 175 High Street North.

Words of welcome were shared from the schools and school administration teams, the Council and the First Nation. Participants had the opportunity to have a snack, get to know each other and take part in inter-school sports games. Indoors, senior volleyball teams from ÉSC de La Vérendrye and École du secondaire Seventh Fire battled it out in the school gymnasium for a friendly game. Outside, a mixed team of students from the two schools faced off against a mixed adult team in a soccer baseball game, and the students from the 9e à 12e year of La Vérendrye and Seventh Fire played a fun game of basketball.

It was a lovely afternoon of get-togethers and friendly reunion activities.
